Easter and Chicks!!

Oh the things we do in kindergarten!!  First we had a fun week

learning about the story of Easter and also practicing math and

literacy skills with some fun "springy" activities... 

As an attempt to demonstrate the life cycle of a chicken we 

incubated some eggs!  After 25 days we realized maybe these eggs 

were not going to work so to defer the emotional trauma and 

disappointment we made a quick trip to a local farm to add some 

baby chicks to our class!  Always have a plan b!!!!!! Here are some

100th Day Of School

In March we celebrated our 100th Day of Kindergarten!  

There were so many fun activities we had to carry some of 

them over to a different day!  Here are some pictures of 

some math center activities we did...

In groups we had teachers and parents help the children add

their 100 items to their flower, cookie, pizza, or gumball

machine.  They had so much fun! 

We ran out of time on 100th day so we made our 100 

crowns on a different day!  They had to add 10 things to 10 

circles to make 100! Great for counting by 10's!!

We also added a new play center....our Old Fashioned Ice 

Cream Shop! The children LOVE this center!
